Durable Medical Equipment (DME)

General Guidelines:

Once DME is dispensed to you, it is a non-returnable item due to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) law.

If there is ever a defect in the brace, please contact the office right away. If it is a manufacturer’s defect, we can exchange the brace for you.

Always hand-wash the DME when needed and air-dry. If the brace becomes excessively worn, too big or too small, please contact OrthoMaryland at 410-377-8900. Depending on when you received the item and your insurance protocol, the doctor may be able to prescribe a new brace which we will submit to your insurance for you.
