Dr. Friedman has nurtured a love of medicine and human anatomy since childhood. “I’ve always been fascinated by the forms and functions of the human body. This fascination, combined with an interest meticulous, detail-oriented procedures led to my decision to specialize in hand surgery, a field I find both stimulating and rewarding,” explains Dr. Friedman, who joined OrthoMaryland in 1991.
Dr. Friedman remains ever mindful of the exacting nature and implications of his work. “My patients have chosen to entrust me with their most precious possession, their hands. It’s my responsibility to do my absolute best to improve their quality of life,” he says.
When not treating patients, Dr. Friedman enjoys spending time with his family, including their many pets, and testing the intricacies of his own hands as a classical guitar player and cellist. He is also a student of Eastern philosophy and an accomplished martial artist.
