Foot & Ankle

Did you know that when you walk, your feet absorb up to 1.5 times your total body weight? Or that those same feet log an average of 1,000 miles each year? Given statistics like these, it's no wonder orthopaedic injuries to the foot and ankle are so common.

At OrthoMaryland, we offer state-of-the-art treatments and therapies to address pediatric and adult foot and ankle problems, including shoe and orthothic fit issues. Using diagnostic techniques like orthopaedic vascular imaging and computerized gait analysis, we can pinpoint the area of concern quickly. Our foot and ankle orthopaedic specialists then work closely with you to develop a comprehensive plan of care to relieve pain and restore function. In many cases, we are able to address the problem through nonsurgical treatment methods.
